Robert J. Howe
Bob is a senior trial and appellate Counsel with a broad practice in civil litigation, administrative law and commercial arbitration. He acts on behalf of a number of major Canadian and multinational companies and is frequently consulted by them on a wide range of litigious issues.
With over 35 years of advocacy experience, Bob has appeared as Counsel before all levels of the Ontario Courts and the Federal Court of Canada. He has also appeared as Counsel on behalf of corporate clients before numerous arbitrators and administrative tribunals.
Bob heads a team which has earned a reputation for aggressive, efficient, and, most importantly, successful litigation. His team solves high-stakes and high-profile commercial disputes and regularly handles complex, multimillion dollar arbitrations. They take a results-oriented approach and vigorously pursue the most efficient methods of resolving clients’ disputes.
Anticipating the impact of the Internet on business, Bob enrolled in the first-ever graduate program in e-commerce law. In November, 2002, he received a Master of Laws in e-business from Toronto’s Osgoode Hall Law School. His extensive litigation experience combined with his knowledge and understanding of e-issues uniquely positions Bob to address the challenges of e-Litigation®.
Although usually focused on legal issues, Bob is also a man for all seasons – winter and the “shoulder” seasons. His passion is snowboarding and he spends winter weekends teaching snowboarding at HoliMont where he is a certified, level one, snowboard instructor.
