Davies Howe Partners LLP

Simone joined the litigation group at Davies Howe Partners LLP in the summer of 2003 and obtained her certification as a law clerk from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario in 2005.  She works primarily with litigation, assisting Bob Howe and Ava Kanner in commercial litigation and insurance defence litigation matters.  Simone also assists Michael Melling and Ava Kanner with expropriation matters and the land use lawyers in appeals to the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal.

Simone is originally from Brazil, where she was an ESL teacher and translator for over 10 years.  She has a degree in Pedagogy, an Advanced Certificate of English as a Second Language from the University of Cambridge, England, and an Advanced Certificate of Spanish from the University of Salamanca, Spain.

According to Simone, being a law clerk is as challenging and rewarding as being a teacher.
