Since the passage of the Energy Competition Act in 1998, which provided for the restructuring of Ontario’s electricity industry towards a competitive market, our lawyers have actively been advising clients with respect to their involvement in the electricity market in terms of access to transmission and distribution systems, understanding the Ontario Energy Board’s Distribution System Code, the wholesale marketing and retailing of electricity and related energy services and options for co-generation.

Our lawyers have developed an in-depth expertise in the rates cases involving all of the major natural gas local distribution companies at the time when the natural gas industry was undergoing significant restructuring and de-regulation.
